Internet Explorer Version 6 is No Longer a Supported Browser

Many organizations are ceasing support for Internet Explorer 6 in 2009 for many reasons and we here at St. Olaf have also decided that we will no longer be supporting this browser. This does not mean that you will not be able to use the site it just means that in certain cases items may not work or text may be out of place. Our recommendation would be to upgrade your browser to a more recent version or switch to a different browser like the excellent Mozilla Firefox.

Ready for the VBS that ROCKS!

Ready for the VBS that ROCKS? High above the cluttered schedules and ringing cell phones of ordinary life is SonRock Kids Camp—an outdoor adventure camp like no other! As SonRock campers, your students will learn how their lives can be transformed by God’s great love for them:

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! (1 John 3:1)

Nothing challenges a person to examine his or her identity quite like an adventure in God’s great outdoors. A pristine forest to explore. Fascinating animals to observe. Opportunities to learn new skills and reach new heights. But crisp mountain air and crystal clear streams of sweet water are only the beginning of what SonRock Kids Camp has to offer. Campers will build bonds of friendship with each other and with caring counselors as they discover that their true identities are not formed by where they go, what they can do or what others think. Like the apostle Peter, they’ll explore who they are in Jesus Christ the most important relationship of all. Because of His love for us, He is the rock upon which we can build our lives!

At SonRock Kids Camp kids will...
  • learn to make good choices and how to CHOOSE & LIVE FOR JESUS!
  • play fun Games!
  • make cool, keepsake Crafts!
  • sing great Songs!
  • eat yummy camp Snacks! (Do you like SMORES?)

Living For Jesus

As your campers watch Jesus call Peter away from his fishing nets, they'll discover what it means to be Accepted by Jesus. Later when Jesus invites Peter to step out of the safety of a boat and onto a churning sea, your campers will discover what it means to be Protected by Jesus. As your campers witness Peter's confession of Jesus as the messiah, they'll learn how to be Saved by Jesus. From Peter's shocking denial and Jesus' redemptive forgiveness, your campers will know that no sin is too large to be Forgiven by Jesus. Finally, as your campers discover how Peter's faith in Jesus made a lame man walk, they'll know the power of Living for Jesus.
